Cortex Biochem, Inc., Announces New Magnetic Separator

SAN LEANDRO, California, August 1st, 2007 -- Cortex Biochem, Inc., announced today the launch of a new magnetic separator designed to simplify manual magnetic separation applications. The new magnetic separator can hold 20 microfuge tubes in a removable tube rack tightly enough that samples can be decanted easily by turning the tube rack upside down. The tube rack is also designed to be placed directly in a water bath for heated incubations. Magnetic separation is easily accomplished by placing the tube rack back on the magnetic base. Powerful neodymium magnets make separations fast and complete.

"This new magnetic separator allows a scientist to complete her entire application without having to constantly remove and replace the reaction tube from the magnetic rack", said Gavin Westberg, Manager of Sales and Marketing. The new magnetic separator, catalog number CD4002, is available for individual purchase, or can be customized with any company's logo for OEM purposes.
